History and introduction of the center:

The Cell Therapy and Regenerative Medicine Comprehensive Center of Kerman University of Medical Sciences was established in 2018 with the efforts of the President of Kerman University of Medical Sciences. As one of the best research centers in the

country, this center has been trying to play its role in the scientific development of the country in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine, focusing on the use of these cells and their products in disease treatment. Therefore, it has tried to

communicate effectively with national and international centers and universities to achieve these goals using its potential and actual capacities.  In order to develop the center’s activities, the Council for the Development of Medical Sciences Universities has

changed and approved this center to “Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Innovation Center”, based on the vote issued in the 288th session of on 11/17/2022, and under this new title, it continues its activities.

Vision:

This center aims to be recognized as a leading research center in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine in the country in the shadow of fulfilling its mission. It also wants to become a suitable platform for the development and empowerment of

capacities based on the knowledge and technology of stem cells and regenerative medicine by directing educational, research, and technological activities. In addition, it is going to take an effective step towards the treatment of diseases and economic

development of the country by supporting the transformation of ideas into wealth and marketing for innovative and knowledge-based products.

Mission:

Kerman Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine Innovation Center has stated its main mission to achieve the development of new and useful sciences and technologies in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine in order to improve the health and

quality of life for the members of society and the next generation. This center pursues the following goals to achieve this mission:

• Promotion of knowledge-based business culture

• Capacity building, empowerment, and development of knowledge and technologies of stem cells and regenerative medicine.

• Promoting coordination and synergy in different parts of the country to implement the comprehensive scientific plan of the country in the field of technology

• Development of education and research in the fields of stem cells and regenerative medicine at the national and international level

• Support of technological cores and knowledge-based companies active in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine

• Commercialization and application of research findings in order to provide medical services for incurable diseases

• Efficient absorption of innovative ideas and accelerating them to enter the market

• Commercialization and wealth generation by supporting innovative ideas from the idea creation to launching the product on the market

• Carrying out measures and providing the necessary facilities for the development and application of the knowledge of stem cells and regenerative medicine
